I Saw "V For Vendetta" Last Night
Damned good movie; I hear that the comic series (from roughly '82-'85) was even better.
My birthday is November 5th... oddly enough.
Remember, remember.

man you're a vapid idiot..just as the bush regime has monopolized the implementation of teh oppressive police state, v for vendetta plays upon every single myopic, simplified, overdramatized and trite 1984esque cliche about 'civil liberty' in the face of a police state. It's a stupid movie made more ridiculous by the fact that its incredibly overly simplistic and is a comic book meant for little kids... real actions in the real world about things such as the balance between security vs. civil liberties are much more nuanced and complex than either v, 1984 or the bush admin tries to make it sound....the fact that you ate it up only demonstrates youre as sheepish as your wingnut counterparts

Yeah, I see how my being entertained by the movie could make you draw those conclusions... oh, I mean, assuming that you're an overreaching and presumptious misanthrope who projects his (her?) own inability to separate fact from fantasy and decides to publicly display said shortcomings on other peoples' blogs... six or seven weeks after the fact. You know: I really like "Team America: World Police" just as much as I like "V for Vendetta." You suppose I'm going to go through some internal strife over the clashing messages? Jesus! WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME??
Now I'm all worried. You really know how to cut to the core of me, Baxter. Is that your name? "Baxter?"
=\
On the plus side, you've got that whole "anonymous internet guy" thing going for you so that you can take advantage of hit-n-run posts. Well played, my devious, new friend.
=)
