A December 8, 2003, New Yorker Magazine article by Jeffrey Toobin (reprinted here on pbs.org) describes, essentially, howa sneaky fucker like Tom DeLay an elected official can drive an effort to redraw a state's congressional district maps... with the intended effect of marginalizing opposing votes, which in turn helps ensure that the "redistricting party" maintains legislative seats.
If you find the four page article hard to follow (which you won't, my 10 smartypantsed pals) the set of 4 popup maps -- in the right-hand column -- truly drives home the idea behind clever redistricting.

yup. Everything is bigger in texas even good ole fashioned money laundering.
TRMPAC also paid Mrs. Delay (aka Tits Delay) and Delay's spawn 500g a piece for "consultation/administrative duties"
Are you kiddin' me? He didn't have anything to do with the "day to day operations" of his own pac?
