Interview With New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin
I just listened to one of the most painful things I can ever recall. This is a must hear.
After some time of describing the way the Katrina emergencylack of efforts had been going down, NOLA Mayor Ray Nagin -- who absolutely (and correctly, and righteously) went off on both this administration and the Louisiana state administration -- and the interviewer* literally broke down and neither said a word.
The silence, as they say, was deafening.
But it conveyed more than words could ever say.
*UPDATE: The interviewer was (is) Garland Robinette.

I had heard bits and pieces of that interview before but not the whole thing.
Mayor Nagin deeply cares for his city and citizens.
He chewed on the Feds and the State real good.

Sure did... too bad the smear machine's already trying to paint him as a nutcase.

Thank you for sharing the site and interview. I was blaming the mayor before I heard this interview. It is amazing how the news media only tells one side of the story. Thank you again for making me aware. God bless the mayor and his people.

It is astounding, isn't it?
You should make a habit of visiting:
Crooks and Liars
It's a great site for finding these sorts of oft-forgotten and/or buried interviews that the mainstream media never quite... "gets around to."
