(AP) CHICAGO Thanks but no thanks.
That's Chicago's answer to an invitation to submit a bid to host the 2008 Republican National Convention.
The Republican National Committee said yesterday that Chicago and 30 other cities were selected to submit bids explaining why they'd be a good choice to host the 2008 convention.
But a spokeswoman for Mayor Richard Daley says City Hall isn't interested.

Actually, I wish they would host the Repug Convention. Can you imagine how much fun that could be?
With all the Dems in Chi-town, and with the attitudes that alot of people have, there could be a "Democatic Convention, 1968 Part Deux: The Republican's Turn."
Turn-about is fair play.

Pops - we got the day (night) off. Whee! I think Dane county got almost a foot of snow in a few spots... we had about 9.5 here in Madison.

We got snow to start, about 1.5in, then about an inch of rain....which ended up being 2in of slush, which proceded to freeze as hard as a rock.
